Anish Prasad is an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from the 2003 batch.
Anish graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and was awarded Masters degree in Police Management by Osmania University, Hyderabad in 2005.
Anish joined the Indian Police Service as the Assistant Superintendent of Police in South Tripura District in 2003 and became the Superintendent of Police in 2007 where he led different teams for investigations and Counter Insurgency Operations in State Police.
In May 2013, he was Deputy to Central Bureau of Investigation wherein he handled investigations of complex anti-corruption cases. Currently, he is the Deputy Director (Administration & Personnel) and Superintendent of Police (System) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). While he was Chief Information Security Officer of CBI, he created SOPs for network security, ICT maintenance, supervised implementation of e-governance project, digitization, centralized technology vertical and ensured network security, maintenance of passive and active components etc.
He has been awarded Director General of Police Commendation Disc for successful Counter Insurgency Operations during the tenure as Superintendent of Police, Dhalai District, Tripura in the year 2007. Then, he presented a paper before Election Commission of India on 'Innovative Practices followed in Tripura during elections in the area of security management'.
